The purpose of having this Code of Conduct is to make sure that our suppliers live up to the internationally recognised minimum standards on safety, the environment and human rights.
It is important to Den Gamle Skole that we provide our customers with toys that are safe and have been produced in a responsible environment.
It is crucial to Den Gamle Skole that this Code of Conduct is respected and implemented both by ourselves, but also by our suppliers and their sub-suppliers.
Den Gamle Skole’s 5 commitments:

4. Den Gamle Skole strongly supports the rights of the child.
5. Den Gamle Skole is against discrimination and corruption.
1.Den Gamle Skole believes that a safe and healthy workplace must be provided.
1.1 Employees shall receive regular and recorded health and safety training, and such training shall be repeated for new or reassigned employees.
1.2 It is necessary to have sufficient ventilation, heating and exhaust systems wherever needed.
1.3 All employees must be protected from fires, toxic substances and accidents.
1.4 Adequate steps shall be taken to prevent accidents and injuries to health.
1.5 A suitable, clean and sanitary infrastructure must be provided, including access to toilets and potable water, which conforms to the needs of its employees and is adequate to its numbers.
1.6 Accommodation, where provided, shall be clean, safe, and meet the basic needs of the employees.
1.7 All products must be produced so that they will not harm anyone purchasing them. The quality of products must always be of a high standard.
2. Den Gamle Skole believes it is essential to protect the environment.
2.1 The employer must take a proactive approach to reducing its environmental impact in matters such as:
− Use of scarce natural resources, energy and water
− Emissions to air and releases to water
− Noise, odour and dust emission
− Potential and actual soil contamination
− Handling of hazardous substances
− Handling of hazardous and non-hazardous waste
− Product issues (design, packaging, transport, use and recycling/disposal)
